What causes pain:

Localized decreased oxygen utilization produces a localized increase in lactic acid production which is what is responsible for pain. A vicious cycle ensues in which the localized decrease in oxygen utilization leads to increased free radical damage, which leads to increased tissue damage, inflammation, edema, which leads to a further decrease in oxygen utilization, all of which equals chronic pain. It also prevents the body’s stem and blast cells from effectively repairing the damage.

What is Prolozone:

Prolozone is a technique that combines the principles of Neural therapy, Prolotherapy and Ozone therapy. It involves injecting combinations of procaine, homeopathic anti-inflammatory medications, vitamins, proliferatives and ozone/oxygen gas into degenerated or injured joints and into areas of pain. The injected ozone increases blood supply and helps with increasing the flow of nutrients into the damaged joints, ligaments tendons and tissues to help with regeneration. The combination of vitamins, minerals and oxygen is vital for regeneration as the tissues get exactly what they need with re-establishment of circulation to the affected area.

 

 

 

Regeneration of Joint Tissues:

The evidence shows that it can be used to regenerate joints and other damaged tissues, and to alleviate pain. Many doctors internationally have used this technique to treat chronic pain conditions and the value of Prolozone is that in the majority of cases it actually corrects the pathology of the disorder and regeneration of tissues such as cartilage or discs have been observed.

Effectiveness of Prolozone: Not everyone will benefit from Prolozone. In very chronic joint disease Prolozone does not work if there are no cartilage cells left in total bone on bone joint degeneration. Each individual’s response to treatment is different with some only needing 1-2 treatment, while others may need 6-7. The report is a 74% success

The treatment is safe however the risks are similar to any injection of the skin or joints such as infection.
