She is a Past President of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA)(1998 –2001) and founder of Transformational Medicine Australia (TMA).
In her contribution to the bridging of mainstream and alternative medicine and in bringing organisations on both sides to come together, she has given lectures and workshops overseas and convened the first three Australasian Conferences in Integrative Medicine .

She was a founding member of the AMA Advisory Committee in Complementary Medicine that made a landmark transformation (in 2001) of the then rigidly held AMA policies on alternative and complementary medicine.

Whilst Dr Ngu was an associate director of the IEDGP (Inner Eastern Division of General Practice), she ran the first commonwealth funded Meditation based Stress Management Project in 1996 for patients and GPs of the area.

Her search for a truer form of healing has led her to found Transformational Medicine Australia (TMA) which addresses the informational and energetic nature of human beings and how body symptoms and mental health issues may be a deeper calling for transformation, growth and experience of the greater dimensions of our being and of one’s life.

Apart from her Holistic practice, Dr Ngu enjoys her four children (robust young men) and continues her love for personal evolution and transformation in facilitating individuals and groups in process oriented Transformational Medicine Journey Retreats and couples in Couplehood Retreats.

She has begun writing her first series of books on Transformational Medicine, reflecting her 30 year experience. Her first book is titled “What Our Bodies Ache for – uncovering repressed longings hidden in body symptoms, anxiety, depression, chronic illness.”

Her witness of the science and power of love that heals has led her to found the social network movement LUTW “Love Unites the World” where people everywhere are invited to start their own local groups to pave the path of love by sharing their lives, having fun together and planting their intention to heal with love by planting “love poles” with the words “May Love Unite the World”. People interested to be part of this movement are invited to contact info@loveunitestheworld.com

Why Choose Us

Most patients want to be confident that their doctor can work scientifically with a basis as a medical doctor and also able to artfully integrate other non-drug approaches preferably those therapies that complement the standard medical and surgical treatments where appropriate or when conventional therapy had not been helpful. Holistic medicine is not in opposition to mainstream medicine but is complementary to it in spite of differences in paradigm. My patients are confident that my team and I are not only experienced practitioners but that we are also passionate about what we do to make a difference and inspired by their journeys and their lives.

MY APPROACH

To your individual needs will be an integration and synthesis of the best of mainstream and complementary medicine to address exactly where you are at. As part of the holistic work-up, I recommend filling in a questionnaire, which if given to me will be kept in a safe, separate and confidential place. This helps by giving me useful background information and also gives you the opportunity of focusing on areas of life that maybe you don’t regularly think about. In this paradigm of Transformational Medicine we see our relationship as teamwork, the role of the practitioner being more towards a facilitator and teacher. Whilst I can support your body to heal with the resources of 30 years of knowledge and wisdom, the real resources of healing is within you – you are your own ‘doctor’! How far you want to go on your journey of health is a matter of your CHOICE. I remain respectful and open to any discussions and I function to facilitate your journey towards complete health.
